27 Super Creative Resumes

I found a great post on Dzineblog showing a variety of highly creative, out-of-the-box resumes. I think it's a great source to have available since we need to be extra creative in order to showcase our talents and have a better chance at landing a job. Here are some examples of not-so-traditional resumes, creative curriculum vitae, infographic resumes and personal brand identity ideas.

I hope you find them as interesting and outstanding as I did.

  1. These are pretty great and eye-catching. While searching how people come up with these great designs it seems that it is through HTML coding which unfortunately I wouldn't know how to do. That's why I asked in the LinkedIn forums if it is worth paying a high fee to companies that do this. Your thoughts?

  2. I wouldn't invest in paying a lot of money for someone to fix our resumes for us. We are more qualified to do that than you give yourself credit for. We just have to use the same principles that we have learned throughout this year of optimizing websites to have them scanned by search engines and turn them into optimizing resumes to have them scanned by employers.

We also have a lot of resources on the web with experts willing to share their advice and Google, which allows us to browse and take inspiration from other people's ideas. In addition we have a great support team in our school, that I bet are willing to help a fellow colleague out.

The trick is to take inspiration from these resume samples and work on a piece that we can make our own. Many of these were made using HTML, however we have other available tools such as iWork Pages, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and more. We might not be experts in HTML but we can sure work with shapes, text, images and color. The end result: an outstanding first impression made by you. The brand: You.
