The Hangover: Part II Almost Didn't Open in Theaters! Find Out Why

Dear Wolfpack,
As you may have seen on one of my previous posts featuring The Hangover: Part II, one of the movie trailer's highlights was when Stu Price's character (played by Ed Helms) emerged from his drunken coma to find a new Mike Tyson-inspired tattoo on his face, right before his wedding.

The movie, originally set to open in theaters on May 26, 2011, came to a halt when Mike Tyson's tattoo artist, Victor Whitmill, filed a lawsuit against Warner Brothers claiming the misappropriation of the copyrighted tattoo he had done on Tyson's face. The lawsuit claims that the movie features an almost exact replica of the original tattoo, which appears on the Stu Price character's face.

Whitmill demanded that the judge block the tattoo from being shown in marketing or the comedy film itself. This is not the first time that Whitmill has filed a lawsuit for a tattoo. In 2005, he got an out of court settlement after suing Nike for running ads that showed NBA's Rasheed Wallace's right arm, with his tattoo.

The judge declined to halt the movie opening, however, the lawsuit for damages could move forward.
Do you agree with Whitmill's lawsuit or do you think he's just looking for fame and a little extra cash? Leave a comment!
